Car home page client program help
Download and installation
1. Download CarHomePage client program archive from this location:
http://www.carhomepage.com/carclient.zip (1705KB, Windows version only)
2. Unpack the archive to some folder, double click on Setup.exe and follow instructions on the screen.
First start
1. You have to be online when you start CarHomePage client because it has to download
database of available car models and other data necessary for its work. You
will see download progress dialog.
2. Once CarHomePage client gets all data you will be presented with the registration
dialog. You have to pick up your username, password and you have to fill in all
other fields. It is especially important that you supply a valid e-mail address.
We will not use it for unsolicited advertisment but in case you lose your
password a new password will be sent to that e-mail address.
3. After successful registration you will come to the main program dialog. From
there you can click on Wizard to go through all details for you car home page
step-by-step, or you can just use tree view in the left pane.
4. When you finish setting up your car home page data click Upload. When that is
done you can click View Page to go to your car home page right away. You can
disconnect from the internet.
Updating data
1. If you want to change something on your car home page just start CarHomePage client
program again. You have to be online when you do that as CarHomePage client has to check
the database for changes and automatically update if necessary.
2. Make the changes you want using the Wizard or tree view in the left pane.
3. Click Upload to put the changes online. When that is done you can check the
page by clicking View Page. You can disconnect from the internet.
How to uninstall
First make sure CarHomePage client program is not running. Then open Control Panel
- Add/Remove Programs, find CarHomePage Client in the list, select it and click remove.
